ABOUT ME
- MY BACKGROUND
- I've called Lexington home for the past 15 years, where I live with my husband, Ajay, a software consultant, and our son, Ishan, who is currently a senior in college. Ishan has gone through the entire Lexington public school system, from elementary school all the way through high school.
- Professionally, I’ve spent nearly 30 years as a management consultant and business leader, with the past two decades focusing on the Banking and Capital Markets sector. My work is centered around helping companies improve their financial performance and operational efficiency, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey.
- Outside of work, I love to cook and host friends at home—nothing beats good food and great company. Singing has always been a passion of mine, though it’s something I haven’t had as much time for lately. I’m hoping to reconnect with it and make it a bigger part of my life again.

- VOLUNTEERING ROLES IN TOWN
- Family is the community you create for yourself, no matter where you live. This is a lesson I learned early on, having left the comforts of home at a young age and lived in many cities and countries before settling in Lexington. Since making Lexington my home, I have embraced this sense of community and contributed in a variety of ways. Here are the key volunteering roles I have played in our town.
- Town Meeting Member (TMM) since 2017 (Due to redistricting, I have been elected in both Precincts 3 and 9 (where I currently serve)
- Chair, Town Meeting Member Association (TMMA) 2021-2023 - During and after the pandemic, worked closely with the Town Moderator and the Town staff to support the planning process and TMMs’ preparation for Town Meeting through remote information sessions, helping advance the transition to an online system- making warrant information and supporting material available on town website and finding creative solutions in lieu of bus tours. Organized the first DEI session for Town Meeting Members in 2022.
- LHS PTO President: 2019-2021
- Lexington Education Foundation (LEF) Board member: 2016-2019Annual volunteer facilitator at MLK Day Community Conversation on Race (organized by Lexington Human Rights Committee):2019-2024
- Core team member of Article 8- Dismantle Systemic Racism (passed by unanimous vote at Town Meeting in STM 2022)
- Served on Town Manager Search Screening Committee: 2018 and 2024
- President of IGIG (Indian Americans Getting Involved Group): 2020-2022- Championing civic engagement and collaboration in town since 2017, with collective group efforts resulting in new community members signing up for voluntary roles in town like Town Meeting Member, School Committee, Appropriation Committee and other boards and committees.
